    Gearbox Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Improved MobileNetV3 and Transfer Learning

    Under different working conditions of gearbox, the feature extraction of fault signals is difficult, and large difference in data distribution affects the fault diagnosis results. Based on the problems, the research proposes a method based on improved MobileNetV3 network and transfer learning (TL-Pro-MobilenetV3 network). Three time-frequency analysis methods are used to obtain time-frequency distribution. Among them, short time Fourier transform (STFT) combined with Pro-MobilenetV3 network takes the shortest time and has the highest accuracy. Furthermore, transfer learning is introduced into the model, and the optimal training parameters are selected training the network. Using the dataset from Southeast University, the TL-Pro-MobilenetV3 model is compared with four classical fault diagnosis models. The experimental results show the accuracy of the method proposed can reach 100% and the training time is the shortest in two working conditions, proving the proposed model has a good performance in generalization ability, recognition accuracy and training time

    Damage Modes Recognition of Wood Based on Acoustic Emission Technique and Hilbert–Huang Transform Analysis

    Identifying the different damage modes of wood is of great significance for monitoring the occurrence, development, and evolution of wood material damage. This paper presents the research results of the application of acoustic emission (AE) technology to analyze and evaluate the mapping relationship between the damage pattern of wood in the fracture process and the AE signal. For the three-point bending specimen with pre-crack, the double cantilever beam specimen, the single fiber tensile specimen, and the uniaxial compression specimen, the bending tensile compression test and the AE monitoring were performed, respectively. After the post-processing and analysis of the recorded AE signal, the results show that the peak frequency of AE is an effective parameter for identifying different damage modes of wood. In this study, the empirical mode decomposition (EMD) of the AE signal can separate and extract a variety of damage modes contained in the AE signal. The Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) of the AE signal can clearly describe the frequency distribution of intrinsic mode function (IMF) components in different damage stages on the time scale, and can calculate instantaneous energy accurately, which provides a basis for damage mode recognition and lays a foundation for further accurate evaluation of the wood damage process

    A Novel Self-Organizing Emotional CMAC Network for Robotic Control

    This paper proposes a self-organizing control system for uncertain nonlinear systems. The proposed neural network is composed of a conventional brain emotional learning network (BEL) and a cerebellar model articulation controller network (CMAC). The input value of the network is feed to a BEL channel and a CMAC channel. The output of the network is generated by the comprehensive action of the two channels. The structure of the network is dynamic, using a self-organizing algorithm allows increasing or decreasing weight layers. The parameters of the proposed network are on-line tuned by the brain emotional learning rules; the updating rules of CMAC and the robust controller are derived from the Lyapunov function; in addition, stability analysis theory is used to guaranty the proposed controller's convergence. A simulated mobile robot is applied to prove the effectiveness of the proposed control system. By comparing with the performance of other neural-network-based control systems, the proposed network produces better performance
